Abstract

Biological therapies have emerged as an effective option for the treatment of non-infectious uveitis, especially in refractive cases to conventional immunosup- pressive drugs. They are fast-acting, well tolerated, and can be considered as first-line agents for the treatment of certain uveitis like in Behget's disease. This article will aid in identifying the uveitis syndromes where biological therapy is more effective, help choosing the most appropriate agent for a particular case and offer suggestions on how to keep long-term disease control.
